Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Third Stage website and what can I find on it?
On the website Third Stage we present performances by European theatres, you can watch them from the comfort of your home sofa or a remote location, whenever you like.
Third Stage does not imagine that theatre as a phenomenon is replaceable by live streaming! It does not educate a new, lazy viewer from home.
The theatrical experience between creators and audiences is irreplaceable and Third Stage actively encourages a personal presence in the theatre.
When can I see the shows?
During the week of April 22 until April 28 all performances are available for VOD (video on demand) viewing. There are no live performances. The performances are available to watch whenever you wish.
Where can I watch a live theatre performance for which I have bought a ticket?
You can watch the show on any device that can access the website thirdstage.eu. Of course, you can also watch the show on your smart TV.
If you have an older computer, it is possible that the video playback interface may not work, so please try using a different browser or a different browser. on another computer, if possible.
From which device can I watch the show?
There are many options – watch on your smart TV, laptop, tablet, smartphone.
If you don’t have a smart TV, you can connect your computer/phone to your TV with an HDMI cable.
How can I connect my computer to the TV?
There are two ways to connect your TV to your computer:
– wired – via HDMI cable
HDMI carries a high-definition video signal and also provides audio. For the simplest experience, look for a newer TV and PC that use this interface.
– wirelessly – via modern devices such as AppleTV, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV stick (they contain all the wizards to easily connect your device to your TV, provided your computer supports it).
Are there any additional settings required?
No further settings are needed.
Do I need to register before buying a ticket?
You can register in advance or when you buy your ticket. Registration is essential as the performance can only be viewed with a user account. Only in this way can we restrict the performances to people who are ticket holders and thus create a fair system for the partner theatres.
I have a ticket, but I can’t find the link to the show?
The link to the performance can be found in the tab Watch the show. Click on the SEE button to view. If you are the recipient of a gift ticket, you must first redeem it.
